Update!

I know I've been horrible lately about updating our blog so let me tell ya what's been going on lately.  We moved to our second apartment of the summer which also means we're half way done with our South Carolina trip.  Cicily and I have been spending a lot more time out doors because it's not as hot here as it was in Columbia still hot though.  We've done quite a bit of swimming and I'm starting to get rid of my farmers tan yay.  Oh I've lost some weight too I don't know how much owing to the fact that I don't have a scale, but I'm down to a size 7 where I was a 10 before I left I'm very happy about that.  My goal before I go back to Utah is a size 5 so not to lofty if I happen to lose more I wouldn't be unhappy though. :)  4th of July was fun, because it was Sunday so that meant that Nick was actually home yay!  So we got to light off fireworks and we went to our new ward which is supper small, but everyone is very nice.  I love the feeling of family you get from a small ward.  Cicily had a hard time with the fireworks her favorites were the roman candles and the mortars( I think that's what Nick called them, the ones that shoot into the sky and explode like at fireworks show only these were a little smaller.)  Cicily was scared of the noise they made though.  Rocky though had to be held back a lot of the time because he wanted to hold and touch the fireworks.  Oh I've now seen lightning bugs they are sooooo cool I love looking at them from my balcony.  Cicily was scared of them at first but I've taught her that lightning bugs are pretty and she now says " pretty light bugs" .  Potty training is going pretty good she went poop in the potty all by herself for the first time today.  She got an Oreo for it.  As long as she's half naked though she'll go potty all by herself all day.  We've tried panties a couple times but she has accidents every time we'll keep trying  though.  We got her Tinkerbell panties,  she loves them,  they're so cute on her.

Christmas and Whitney's Wedding!

The last couple of weeks have been very busy!  We had our own little Christmas.

Then Cicily and I traveled to Southern California for my youngest sisters wedding.  Cicily loved hanging out with Princess Whitney at the Princesses Castle " San Diego Temple".

While Cicily and I were in California Nick was getting everything together for his cross country trip from Florida to Utah.

Finding Christmas Presents

We're going to have a problem later on if she's already finding her Chistmas presents. I mean she's only 1 1/2!

Our first Thanksgiving alone!

This year Thanksgiving was just a little different for us. Since we're in Florida we were to far away from family to visit. So we had our own Thanksgiving. Just our little family. The day before Thanksgiving I started making dinner so I wouldn't have to do everything the day of. I made the pumpkin pie and the deviled eggs.

Then bright and early in the morning I stuffed the turkey and put it in the oven, made a banana cream pie, took a break while Nick made the sweet potatoes, made the green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and gravy. And while we were doing all that Cicily was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and she was waving at all the floats and people on the TV it was really cute. Then right about the time the Turkey was finishing cooking the Carbon Monoxide alarm goes off. At first I was kinda confused because I was thinking it was the fire alarm, but we didn't have any smoke in the house. So I went out side to check if it was the building alarm, because we live in an apartment so it could have been someone else, But it wasn't the building alarm. So I went back inside and looked at the alarm and I realized it was the Carbon Monoxide detector so then I'm panicking wondering what we should do, because dinner had just finished and we had a large thanksgiving dinner just sitting there. It was very frustrating. So we opened all the windows in our apartment, the door too, and Cicily and I sat outside while Nick went to the front office to see if there was anyone there to talk to. Of course no one was there on Thanksgiving though. So Nick called his dad to see what he thought. We all felt fine and we figured it was from all the cooking since our stove and oven is gas and since the heat hasn't been on at all. So Nick reset the detector and it didn't go off again after an hour of airing out.

Luckily most of the food was still hot or warm at least to have our Thanksgiving dinner after that little episode. I think we did pretty good on dinner for cooking my first turkey, banana pie, pumpkin pie, and gravy. It all turned out great even with being sick.  Cicily loved Thanksgiving dinner too she had a little bit of everything and even pointed out a couple things she wanted more of.  

Halloween!

Nick got to go to the Halloween parade at Disney this year and it was pretty cool from what I hear.  He took a few pictures from the party. 

Since Cicily and I couldn't go to the Halloween party we went over to the polonesian resort and watched the fireworks from the beach while we waited for the fireworks we built Cicily's first sandcastle.  It was funny, because Cicily mostly just wanted to destroy it.  

This year we also took Cicily Trick-or-Treating she loved her princess costume and was continualy trying to take it out of the closet.  We went to the mall for the Trick-or-Treating because we felt it would be easier with Cicily.  We had to watch her fairly close, because she kept trying to take off and hide.  

Ice Cream and Fire Works!

The fourth of July has already come and gone and I haven't done a post for it yet so here it is. The 4th of July was a lot of fun. We went to the 3rd Ice age movie which Cicily had a hard time sitting though, but I quite enjoyed it, daddy was at work at the time. After that we played 500 on the trampoline with water balloons. Jenny and Beth got soaked! Cicily really liked the water balloons too.
Then we had a BBQ for dinner hotdogs hamburgers the works it was really good. Next we played croquet out back, and the little girls really wanted to play. Then while we were waiting for dark to light the fireworks the guys played tip-in while I got everyone homemade ice cream (I made it and it was amazing! Raspberry Cheesecake! Yumm!). We couldn't do the BarbieQ this year, because Jenny finaly ran out of Barbies we all knew this day would come so we sacrificed Conners stuffed Scorpion, and all toys are now afraid, and call us Sid. The Scorpion went well and stuffing flew everywhere. The guys also did the annual jumping over the fireworks and dunking. And Cicily and Rachel really enjoyed the fireworks and were quite entertained. Rachel kept going ouuuu, and Cicily who nothing keeps her attention, the fireworks did.
